Faith & Therapy
Faith and mental health are not at war.
You can love God and still struggle. You can be a person of faith and still need help. Therapy doesn't mean your faith has failed you. It means you're taking care of the whole person God made.

What faith-integrated therapy looks like
Supporting Catholics through Anxiety and Stress
For many Catholics, guilt can feel overwhelming. You may worry that you’re not “Catholic enough,” or fear you’re constantly falling short in God’s eyes. You might carry doubt, shame, or the weight of never feeling fully at peace.
I believe deeply in the power of prayer, and I trust that God places tools and people in our path to help us heal. Therapy can be one of those tools. My role is to walk with you - to listen with compassion, support you without judgment, and help you experience the freedom and mercy God longs to give.
This is a space where faith is honored, not measured. Here, you don’t have to prove your devotion or strive for impossible perfection. Instead, we’ll work together to quiet the noise of fear and shame so you can hear God’s voice of love more clearly.
Whether you’re deeply devoted, reconnecting after time away, or carrying the weight of guilt that never seems to lift—you are welcome here. Together, we can explore practical ways to calm anxious thoughts, build a healthier relationship with faith, and rest in the truth that God’s grace is bigger than our fears.
If you’re longing for a space where your faith is understood and supported, I’d be grateful to walk that journey with you.

On your terms
Faith integration is always your choice
Not the Instagram version. The real one.
If you want faith in the room
Cory can incorporate prayer, scripture, or spiritual reflection into your sessions. She understands Catholic teaching and can help you explore how faith connects to anxiety, guilt, relationships, and identity.
If you'd rather keep it separate
That's completely fine. Cory is a Licensed Professional Counselor first. She uses evidence-based methods like Accelerated Resolution Therapy and cognitive approaches. Your sessions will be just as effective without any spiritual component.
If you're questioning everything
Doubt is not the opposite of faith. Cory won't try to fix your beliefs or push you in any direction. She'll help you sit with the uncertainty and figure out what feels true for you.

Common reasons people reach out
You might be here because...
You feel guilty about struggling when you "should" be able to lean on your faith. You're dealing with anxiety, scrupulosity, or obsessive religious thoughts. You're going through a life transition and your usual coping isn't working. You want a therapist who understands your values without making therapy feel like a Bible study. You're carrying grief, anger, or confusion that you haven't been able to bring to anyone else.
Whatever brought you here, you don't have to figure it out alone.
